Our mission

As women, our livelihoods are a deeply rooted connective network best described as our “tribe.” It is in these tribes that we are enabled to grow, heal, love, laugh, mourn, thrive and find peace.

If we are fortunate, our mothers teach us how to cultivate the essential support systems we all need to thrive—just as her mother taught her. The practice of tribe-building by women transcends time and geography. Our tribes overlap and are interconnected across the globe.

In a world that often attempts to divide us, women possess an incredible ability to uplift, inspire, and support one another. From shared dreams at cafés to late-night brainstorming sessions, we amplify each other’s voices and ideas. Collaboration becomes a source of strength.

Celebrating successes—big or small—can transform a moment of self-doubt into a triumph. Equally, sharing our struggles with dear friends soothes our hearts and inspires us to continue the good fight.

Tribe-building is one of the most profound ways women support one another. Sharing experiences and knowledge bridges generations and paves the way for future leaders.

Together, we rise. Support is our superpower. Let us continue to create a world where women stand together, empower one another, and write our narratives.

This project is a celebration of that connection, a way to illuminate the invisible web that links us all. It begins with something simple yet powerful: gratitude. By recognizing the women who have shaped us, we not only honor them but also acknowledge the collective strength of womanhood.

Meet Marcie

Hello Friends,

As my mother enters a stage in her life where many of her long-time friends are passing, I have had the honor of accompanying her to several memorial services over the past few years. Each experience has left me in awe of the beauty of her incredible friendships. I see my mother as a curator of exceptional relationships, surrounded by a group of friends whose strength, wisdom, intelligence, humor, and talent are truly inspiring.

After returning home from one such memorial service, I reflected on the remarkable group of women I am fortunate to call friends, just as my sisters and daughters do. The term “friends” hardly captures the essence of these relationships. Instead, the word TRIBE wonderfully encapsulates the beauty of women’s friendships.

Tribes Of Ruth aims to spread the message of female empowerment through friendship. The name honors both my mother (affectionately known as Ruthie) and her mother (also named Ruth). Interestingly, the name Ruth itself means FRIENDSHIP, which explains my mother’s extraordinary talent for cultivating connections!

I invite you to join me in this exciting journey and help spread the love.
